Robotic Program

Robotic surgery continues to shape the way in which surgical procedures are performed across Australia. It is widely accepted as an advanced form of minimally invasive surgery resulting in a faster recovery allowing patients to return to work and their regular daily activities more quickly, whilst experiencing reduced pain and an improved cosmetic result due to small incisions resulting in less scarring.

The latest version of the da Vinci Xi surgical robotic system is now available for a variety of procedures at Cairns Private Hospital. This advanced state-of-the-art technology allows our highly skilled specialists to enhance their surgical capabilities to provide improved control, precision and movements.

The da Vinci Xi Robot

The da Vinci Surgical System expands the doctors' human capabilities and allows routine and complex procedures to be performed minimally invasively. Via three integrated components, the surgeon controls the da Vinci Xi robot from a surgeon console. The system features revolutionary anatomical access, crystal clear 3DHD vision, magnification and motion tremor control allowing the surgeon to operate high-tech instrumentation with greater dexterity and precision than other minimally invasive techniques.
